vPilot is an automated studio system utilizing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is a studio set-up that does not require camera operators or an onsite director but is designed to create visually compelling content. Ideal for lower-cost studio productions, vPilot can be utilized for a range of production requirements including studio round table discussions, news delivery, visual radio, speaking events, and corporate communications. vPilot uses the power of AI to direct the cameras and to automatically direct the shots based on who is talking and their importance within the discussion.

Productions can include graphics, dynamic ticker tape, overlays, and video insertions which can be simply inserted by the talent via the easy-to-use vPanel. The director set-up is part of the management platform where it is possible to configure preferences based on the director’s needs.

What does vPilot include:

vPilot is a server-based system that is installed locally with its own intuitive GUI. It includes 3D sensors and brackets. It is possible to use an external party VISCA HD-SDI compliant PTZ cameras and microphone systems, or these can be supplied as a complete end-to-end system including cables and IP-based switching based on specific needs.

vPanel

Is an easy-to-use control box that can be used in conjunction with the vPilot system to add overlays, video, camera override with AI, internal-external camera, and guests and presentations.

It is a major asset to any production where it can be used by the talent in real-time to simply add overlays or ad inserts such as images or videos to the live production. vPanel also allows manual control of the vPilot system.

It allows the selection of individual cameras and overrides the AI, but also allows the control of an external camera or external streams as desired. All images and videos can be uploaded for use with vPanel remotely via the vPilot administration system. The system will change the icon between each button to show the graphic it represents for ease of use.

Management GUI

The vPilot GUI is an easy-to-use management platform that operates under a browser and comes free with the system. It allows for the initial configuration and calibration of the system. It can create “seats” which defines the areas of specific presenters, does audio configuration, allows the upload and display of graphical overlays, can be used to set up the vPanel feature for adding images and video inserts to any presentation, and can add facial recognition for automated name overlays based on who is appearing.

vPilot Basic Set-up

One of its main features is the “Shots” and “Director Config” which allows the user to add director features by defining the types of shots required and how those preferences are automatically managed by the AI platform when creating the live show.
