Ultrix platforms are built with a modular input and output matrix, to easily swap in unique I/O cards that build upon the Ultrix feature set. The Ultrix MODX-IO is a base I/O card that can be populated with up to four MOD-SFP sub-modules. For applications where signal counts are changing and growing, populating modules as needed offers a flexible, pay-as-you-go approach. The MODX-IO offers the same processing abilities as other Ultrix cards while adding an extra degree of I/O flexibility.
The SDPE blade is a powerful production solution that combines the routing and processing resources of Ultrix with the advanced effects capabilities of Ross Production switcher technology.

Software Enabled Virtual Audio Mixer
To enhance the Ultrimix audio smart fabric even more, Ultrix has also introduced the world’s first software-enabled audio mixer in a router platform: Ultrimix-MXR. Ultrimix-MXR is a 128×64 virtual audio mixer that can be partitioned into multiple smaller mixers, and features a 4-band parametric equalizer, noise gate and compressor/limiter on every input. It is fully routable, which allows access to every input in the system and can send mix outputs and processed inputs to any output in the frame, providing tremendous flexibility for audio workflows. It is easy to configure and control via DashBoard or Ultritouch hardware control panels.
